The economic impact of our company supports families well beyond the Glades. Our work plays a role in creating related jobs across the state and creates revenue for both the state of Florida and hundreds of suppliers that are local to Florida.
A Taste of America
The sugarcane, citrus, sweet corn, and other fresh vegetables we grow in the Everglades Agricultural Area shows up on tables and in lunch boxes across America. Not only are we one of the country’s top cane sugar producers, our farmlands also produce nearly half of Florida's sweet corn crop.
America’s Sweetest Celebration
U.S. Sugar is a proud sponsor of the Clewiston Sugar Festival, an annual event celebrating the end of the sugarcane harvest season. Held in America’s sweetest town, the free event features performances by nationally known musical acts, food booths, arts and crafts, children’s activities, a dessert contest, and more. The event dates to the 1930s and attracts thousands of residents and visitors every year.
U.S. Sugar Hospitality
Dozens of groups and thousands of guests tour our farms and facilities every year as part of the Raisin’ Cane Tours. Organized by the Clewiston Chamber of Commerce, the tours provide visitors a behind-the-scenes view of how our crops get from our farms to your table. Participants visit our sugarcane and vegetable fields, tour U.S. Sugar and other area farm locations, and see Lake Okeechobee up close. Click here to book yours today.
