Faith in
Florida Farmers

During hurricanes, economic downturns, and the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Sugar led community-wide efforts to provide assistance and support to our local communities because this is where we live and work – we farm and we feed families in the heart of the Glades communities. From the company’s very own hard-working employees to the most vulnerable members of our society, the people of U.S. Sugar are always committed to serving our neighbors during these difficult times.

Crops for the Community

As Florida farmers, it is our mission to provide safe, locally grown food to families across America. Closer to home, with our vegetable harvests the people of U.S. Sugar were able to reach deeply into the communities we love by donating nearly hundreds of thousands servings of nutritious green beans and more than 500,000 ears of sweet corn to deserving churches, healthcare providers, food banks and families across South Florida.

Our Community

U.S. Sugar was proud to partner alongside Florida Crystals and the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative in the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program to benefit the Glades area and help offset challenges COVID-19 has brought many local families. We have provided hot meals for the elderly and other homebound individuals in Pahokee, Belle Glade and South Bay – providing for and delivering more than 20,000 meals prepared by local restaurants.

Essential Supplies in Critical Times

During times when essential supplies are reaching critically low levels, the people of U.S. Sugar have provided necessities to those who needed them most. Our hurricane response efforts include providing fresh bottled water to effected communities, deploying our team of farmers and tractor fleet to remove debris fields, and distributing hot meals throughout effected communities.
